About the Author
Richard Hollis is a former freelance graphic designer, and worked as a printer, art editor, production manager, teacher and lecturer. He studied art and typography at the Chelsea, Wimbledon and Central Schools of Art, London. From 1958 he taught lithography and design at the London College of Printing and Chelsea School of Art, before working in Paris in the early 1960s. From 1964 to 1967 he was Head of the Graphic Design Department at the West of England College of Art, Bristol, and was for six years Senior Lecturer at the Central School of Art and Design.

All the books from this Thames and Hudson's collection are a great investment. For this in particular, the only thing I would like to see was more bigger colour images. Nevertheless the content is very comprehensive.

Very easy questions

I got this book for Step 2 CK to get a high score because the qbook for Step 1 really helped me but this one is incredibly easy compared to other qbanks (especially the IM section). I don't think it's worth the time. If you want to review questions at the beginning of your prep maybe it can be useful but if you don't have a lot of time go directly to online qbanks.

Great Explanations

This book is great for reviewing. Very helpful to combine it with Master the Boards USMLE Step 2 CK. I found that reading Master the Boards and then testing my knowledge with this QBook to be an excellent way to prep for wards and Step 2. The questions are not necessarily hard but the explanations are detailed and help clarify why the other options could in no way be the correct answer. Definitely worth purchasing for rapid review.

Great Test, Excellent Book, and Superb Service

I think Coh-Metrix is an absolutely excellent way to measure text difficulty and, while it has its limits--like any test-- it goes way beyond any standard methods of determining which texts are difficult and which ones are not. This book offers a clear explanation of the test's origins and methodology.
